Tunisian crochet (also known as Afghan crochet) is a blend between knitting and crocheting that offers the best aspects of both techniques. It produces a fabric that is similar to a knit but worked on a hook. It's quick and easy to do, creates a dense, durable fabric, and has become one of the most popular approaches for today's crocheters. The finished projects are sturdy and flexible!
Inside this beginner's guide, Mary Beth Temple offers 16 must-make projects using her favorite stitch designs, plus a section on yarn selection and the hooks needed to crochet this type of stitch. Temple is the author of more than a dozen books, including Finger Knitting and Arm Knitting. When not writing, she can be found teaching and creating instructional videos on Craftsy, Yarnspirations, The Knitting Circle, Creative Crochet Corner, and Made it Myself TV.
